C-117 Standard-sized mandrel (not the ‘large’ Busy Bee sized). Has reproducer with good stylus. No horn. Works! All original. Needs cleaning and TLC. [The MANDREL is the large metal cylinder onto which the record is slipped on.] Can be shipped – USA shipping only!
“Regarding the C-117 Busy Bee with standard mandrel, after a quick lubrication and allowing connections to get oily, after a stand-still I gave the winding key 15 turns and let it play until it wound down, it did make it from front to end without skipping, indicating a good spring and good tracking. More turns can be added during play if necessary, and a few more turns can be initially made than the 15 that I gave it, though I would not stress it, considering its age. During actual performance with a cylinder the springs weaken near the end and additional turns with the winding key can/should be added to add strength to the spring. … This Busy Bee graphophone will need TLC/C (Tender Loving Cleaning/Care) for pleasing presentations, …as well as a short black with gold stripe horn.“
