N-119 PATHE sapphire ball stylus (needle) on brass shank to play PATHE “hill-and-dale” records. (The second photo shows the Pathe shank fully inserted – pushed in all the way – then slightly tightened with a threaded collar.) The Pathe shank will also fit in a reproducer with a thumbscrew as long as the reproducer can be rotated to play Pathe (hill-and-dale) records, that is with the diaphragm facing FORWARD.
The needle is made especially for playing Pathe records with the reproducer (sound box, resonator) turned to the proper position for playing Pathe records. It is not suitable for any other type of record. Caution: Gently lower the sound box containing the Pathe needle on the record to prevent cracking and breaking of the sapphire stylus.
NOTE: These new sapphire ball styluses do not come in the fancy packaging. Individual packaging may be different than that shown in the photos. Shipping/Handling fee will automatically be added to the cost of one Pathe stylus sold in the United States. International shipping cost will be quoted separately (often close to US$20).
